Mexican restaurant shuts down, equipment heading to the auction block.

ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — After 45 years of running Vasquez Hacienda, Al and Elaine Vasquez are ready to retire. Vasquez Hacienda near Elk Rapids on U.S. 31 first opened in 1974.

After shutting down for the winter season in October, the owners made the decision to not reopen.

The building and property is currently for sale as well.

The auction will take place Friday, February 21 from 12 – 5 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday the auction will continue from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.
