A commercial kitchen faucet works harder than any household tap – filling stock pots, rinsing produce and running all day at the prep and pot sinks. Babak Food Equipment offers commercial and industrial kitchen faucets for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, bars, hotels and institutional kitchens across Vancouver and British Columbia, including Thorinox models built to match stainless sinks. Choose the right spout and mounting style and your sinks become faster and easier to use.
Types of commercial kitchen faucets
Deck-mount faucets
Deck-mount faucets install on the sink’s rear deck or counter, usually with 4 or 8 inch centres between the hot and cold inlets.
Wall-mount faucets
Wall-mount faucets come out of the wall above the sink, freeing the deck and making cleaning easier. They are common on compartment and pot sinks.
Swing and gooseneck spouts
Swing spouts move between sink bowls; gooseneck spouts give extra height for filling pots and buckets.

How to choose a commercial faucet
Mounting and centres: measure the hole spacing on your sink or wall – 4 and 8 inch centres are the most common.
Spout length and height: the spout should reach the middle of the bowl and clear your largest pot.
Construction: look for heavy-duty brass or stainless bodies and replaceable cartridges for long life.
Handles: lever handles are easier to operate with wet or gloved hands.
Codes: check that the faucet meets local plumbing code and lead-free requirements.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a commercial and a residential kitchen faucet?
Commercial faucets are built for constant use with heavier bodies, longer spouts and replaceable parts, and they are designed to fit commercial sinks.
What does 8 inch centre mean on a faucet?
It is the distance between the centres of the hot and cold inlets. Your faucet must match the hole spacing on the sink or wall.
Wall-mount or deck-mount – which is better?
Wall-mount faucets keep the sink deck clear and are common on pot sinks; deck-mount faucets suit sinks with a pre-drilled rear deck.
